Note: This blog focuses on placement for the Scent Machine Home. Nonetheless, the home placements for the Scent Machine Professional and Scent Machine are, but not limited to:
Professional: kitchen, living room, or in the attic / basement (near your air handler)
Travel: small room or bathroom (large master bedrooms may need more than one Travel)
Location, Location, Location
The Scent Machine Home boasts a remarkable coverage of up to 2,000 square feet, making it perfect for most homes. For the best results, place the aroma diffuser in the most centralized spot of your home, preferably in the most open area. This allows the fragrance to disperse evenly throughout multiple rooms. The LEFT image above shows possible placement in the kitchen and / or the dining room on the first floor. The RIGHT image above shows possible placement in the loft or landing, which is central to the second floor.
If not ported into your HVAC, the Scent Machine Professional can be placed in these same open places as the Scent Machine Home. On the other hand, the Scent Machine Travel will be most effective in smaller enclosed rooms.
It's important to highlight that air flow is the biggest factor when it comes to getting the most out of your fragrance. This is also an element we ask about when clients state that they cannot detect the scent from the diffuser. Does your air come on every eight hours or less? Is there anything blocking or causing a restriction of air to or from your vent(s)?
Higher Or Lower?
To maximize the throw of the fragrance, mount the SM Home at a height between waist and head level (approximately 4 to 6 feet above the floor). An entry table is an ideal location. This placement facilitates the wider distribution of scents and ensures that the fragrance reaches all corners of the space effectively.
The Scent Machine Professional should be kept at a LOWER height, while the Scent Machine Travel should be placed between waist and head level.
Power Is Prime
Since the SM Home is directly powered by a cable, it's essential to position it close to an outlet. This not only ensures a continuous flow of delightful scents but also eliminates the need for battery replacements. Non-rechargeable battery-operated fragrance dispensers cover a much smaller area and require more frequent maintenance. Additionally, they contain synthetic chemicals that are allowed by the FDA although harmful to humans and pets. Why do you think those are priced so low? Because the ingredients are not of supreme quality like ours are.
The Scent Machine Professional is also powered by outlet. However, the Scent Machine Travel is rechargeable like a phone.

How To Safely Eliminate Cannabis Smell With Canna-Less
Have you ever wondered what causes the strong, pungent cannabis smell? And have you ever wondered if there is any way to make it more pleasant? We have, and better yet, we did something about it. Here's a deeper look at how Canna-Less came to be.
The Chemical Compound Culprit
Since marijuana has been legalized for medicinal and recreational purposes across much of the country, more and more people and business are affected by its unique and distinctive scent. It turns out that there is a specific compound that is responsible for the unique smell of cannabis. Prenylthiol, also known as 3-methyl-2-butene-1-thiol, is an organic chemical found in many plants and herbs, including marijuana. Prenylthiol is C5H10S, which means that it is made of five carbon atoms, 10 hydrogen atoms, and one sulfur atom. Sulfur is not always stinky, but it certainly is in the case of Prenylthiol!
Currently, solutions used to remove the pungent smell of marijuana are costly. Some of which include increasing the air flow and air scrubbing. There are also some natural methods, such as essential oils and candles. These options generally result in masking the unpleasant odor with another competing smell. These methods are not very effective, as they ultimately do not eliminate or change the smell.
Uncovering The Solution
A priority in the fragrance development process was to find a product that actually worked. More importantly, one that was free of synthetic toxins and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It was critical that the product be safe for people and pets. Many of our customers are businesses, including resorts, that need to be able to diffuse solution safely into public spaces.
After months of research, our fragrance development team has successfully identified three natural scents that safely and effectively remove the skunky smell of weed. These scent molecules smell even more wonderful when combined with Prenylthiol’s radical sulfur atom. These scents smell great on their own but change when they are exposed to the cannabis odor. This is evidence that the scent molecules combine with the marijuana smell, rather than just mask or compete with the odor.

All-Year, Works In Every Season
Depending on which part of the year your wedding takes place, you might have a preference between these two versatile aromas. Some might place Champagne Cheers as a Spring and Summer fragrance because of the sweet, citrus, and musk appeal, typically used in warmer weather. How To Use Essential Oils
What is are essential oils? Essential oils are highly concentrated natural extracts from the leaves, flowers, and stems of plants. The most common way to use essential oils is to inhale them, both for their amazing scent and their therapeutic properties. But they can also be used in diffusers and humidifiers, as well as diluted with a carrier oil and applied to the skin. Invigorating or relaxing fragrance at home or work
Essential oils are most commonly used in oil diffusers or oil warmers so that the benefits are absorbed through inhalation. To get started, make sure you have an oil diffuser that uses water. Now, place the desired amount of water along with a few drops of essential oil. Power your diffuser on and enjoy the wonderful aroma. If you do not have an oil diffuser that uses water, then apply the essential oil directly to our Wax Melter / Candle Warmer bowl using little to no water as desired.
Note: The Travel, Home, and Smart Professional Scent Machines are intended for use with our Fragrance Oils and not our Essential Oils because they are too thick and will clog the tubing.
Essential oils on-the-go
Taking a small, pocket-sized atomizer/sprayer with you filled with your favorite aroma can turn your day around in an instant. Remember that fragrance from pure and natural sources will provide aromachological benefits at the very least, either calming or stimulating your mood.
To make your own, you only need three things: a refillable miniature atomizer (6ml to 10ml will be most compact), essential oil, and water. Put 1 to 3 drops of essential oil in the atomizer, then add water to the top. It's as easy as that. Less oil means less scent while more oil means a slicker texture. Keep this in mind based on what you're spraying onto and around, this personal aroma is meant to be an ambient scent. DIY hand sanitizer
Those small bottles of hand sanitizer spray will add up in the long run. This DIY hand sanitizer spray should be in your car, back pack / fanny pack, and purse / diaper bag. Here's how to make your own.
For spray: 2 ounce spray bottle, 2 tbsp rubbing alcohol, 9 - 12 drops of essential oil, water
Note: combine in the spray bottle and add water to the top. Amount of oil drops is preference, put more or less, however you see fit. Shake before each use because of separation.
For gel: 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1/4 cup aloe vera gel, 3 - 6 drops of essential oil
Note: no matter how small or large of a batch, keep the mixture 2 parts rubbing alcohol to 1 part aloe vera gel. For the oil drops, you can put more or less, as desired.
Add to body wash, conditioner, shampoo, or bath
Similar to hanging eucalyptus in the shower and the hot steam activating the oils for a more relaxing wash, you can add essential oils to your daily hygiene. Put a few drops in with your container of shampoo, conditioner, or body wash for an enhanced cleaning and fresh feel for the rest of the day. When running a bath, add several drops to the water and immerse yourself in tranquility.

Add to lotion or carrier oil as moisturizer or itch relief
Fight dryness during cold weather by adding a few drops of oil to your daily moisturizer. Have an itchy scalp? Mix some carrier oil and a small amount of essential oil to restore moisture and soothe surface itch.

DIY insect repellant
Now that the weather allows for more outside activities, you'll want to armor up and keep the bugs away. You'll need a 2 ounce spray bottle, 15 - 25 drops of essential oil, 1 tsp of carrier oil, and 1 tsp of witch hazel or vodka.
