Aroma Retail App

Always keep the machines and canister upright when they have oil in it, as it will spill if tilted. This guide will include instructions for all Scent Machine Aroma Diffusers.

Note: Create your account on the Aroma Retail (Legacy) app first and operate your machine through there for now. We'll notify you once the NEW Aroma Retail app is ready, but it's important to get connected to the Aroma Retail Legacy app to make it a smooth transition. We also recommend using a gmail account to sign up as there are some issues with outlook and hotmail at this time.

On the login screen you will be able to sign in to your existing account or create an account. You will also be able to reset your password if needed.

Once you are logged in you will now be able to connect or manage a Scent Machine.

Connecting The Scent Machine 101 (Home Unit)

Once you've tapped "Add a Device" you will be able to select the Home Unit. Follow the prompts. You should then see this screen:

Follow the instructions on screen and make sure your Home Unit is plugged in and upright. Once the screen on the Home Unit says "Ready for Pair" tap next in your app and it will start to search for the Home Unit device (note: make sure your blue tooth/location is on).

Once The diffuser is connected, you will then be prompted to select your Wi-Fi network. Use the same network Wi-Fi that your phone is currently connected to. You will then be prompted for your Wi-Fi's password in app. Enter this and allow the device to connect to the Wi-FI network.

Once successfully connected, you can then navigate to the home screen by tapping "Devices" on the bottom of your app screen. Here you will be able to view all paired devices.

If you experience any issues, please reset the diffuser and make sure you follow the steps bellow and in app.

Connecting The Scent Machine Pro (Professional Unit)

The steps will be very similar to connecting the Home Unit above. Start by adding a device and allow for it to be plugged in and turned on before you start searching for diffusers to pair with.

Follow the steps presented to you in app and choose your Wi-Fi network to connect with your Pro Unit and enter your Wi-Fi password.

Once Connected you will then be able to navigate to the home screen and view your paired devices.

If you experience any issues with connecting the Pro Unit, please follow the in-app troubleshooting steps presented and try again.

Connecting The Scent Machine Room (Room Unit)

The Room Unit will follow a similar flow for connecting as the previous machines. Plug in your room unit upright. Once plugged in and turned on, you should see a blue light, if you do not see a blue light, then simply hold the reset button for 7 seconds and this should have it turn on.

Once paired, you will be able to connect your Room Unit to the Wi-FI. You will be prompted to choose a Wi-Fi network to connect to. Once you select your Wi-Fi network, you will be asked to enter your Wi-Fi password.

Once connected, you are now able to customize your device features and start diffusing!

If you are having trouble connecting your Room Unit, please follow the steps prompted on the screen of your app and try again.

Diffusion Scheduling:

The Scent Machine Home Unit

Only one event is needed to run the machine, but multiple can be edited to account for different schedules. The toggles on this page turn the Events on/off.

Clicking on a single event will bring you to a detailed edit page. It's easily manageable, all you need to do are follow 3 steps:

1. Select your fragrance intensity.
2. Choose the days you will run this event on.
3. Enter your start time and your end time.

That's it, you're done!

Manual Scheduling

Set up the machine: The initial setup can be done before using the mobile app.

Set the clock to the current time:
Press SET then UP/DOWN for hour (this is a 24-hour clock so 13:00 is 1:00PM). Press SET then UP/DOWN for minutes. Press SET then UP/DOWN for day of week-use UP to change, DOWN to move to next day. Press SET to confirm clock setting.
There are 5 events so you can have the machine come on at different times, at different intensities, on different days. NOTE: An Event cannot go around midnight, so make sure every stop time is no later than 23:59.
Set the first event:
Press SET then UP/DOWN for start hour.
Press SET then UP/DOWN for start minute.
Press SET then UP/DOWN for days of the week for this event-use UP to change between fast blinking (on) to slow blinking (off) then DOWN to move to next day.
Press MODE then UP/DOWN to set the hour the machine stops for the days of this first event…
Press SET then UP/DOWN for stop minute.
Press MODE then UP/DOWN for the percentage of intensity. TIP: start at 20%.
Repeat this for the other four events or leave these blank if you just need one event.
Put in the oil: Keep canister upright at all times - it will spill!

Open the oil hatch on the bottom of the machine and pull out the fragrance oil cartridge by the metal ring - do not twist, it pulls straight out.
Unscrew the diffuser cap from the oil cartridge and pour the fragrance oil from the white bottle into the blue cartridge.
Screw the black diffuser cap back on.
Align the diffuser cap so that the two inlet/outlets are lined up facing the front of the machine.
Push straight up until you feel it seat into the machine. This just pops in place - no turning.
Close the oil hatch.

The Scent Machine Pro Unit

Just like the Scent Machine 101 (Home Unit), only one event is needed to run the machine, but multiple events can be edited to account for different schedules. The toggles turn the events on/off. Ultimately the setup is exactly the same aside from one difference. That difference is the selectin of intensity. Instead of a drop down you are prompted with 3 options: High, Medium, Low.

Once you select your intensity level the rest follows the same flow as the Home Unit. You then select the days you'd want this event to run on. The final step will be setting the start and end time for this schedule. Once you have all 3 steps done, you are able to then save the event and create new events for different days or occasions.

Manual Scheduling

The initial setup can be done before using the mobile app.

Press MENU to light up the screen.
The buttons:
MENU takes you to the menu or back to home screen.
ENTER confirms your changes.
UP and DOWN Change the values and move you to the next menu item.
RIGHT Selects the menu item and moves you to the right as you're entering settings.
LEFT Returns to previous screen or moves you to the left to re-enter settings.

If the machine is not scheduled to run at the current time, the home screen will display when the next Event is scheduled to come on.

Menu Categories:

Set Time/Day - for current day and time
Set Up Events - there are 5 Events. Only one is needed to run the machine. You would have multiple Events if you want the machine to run at different times on the same day, and/or at different settings on different days. For example, if you want the machine to run 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, and 9am-9pm on Saturday-Sunday, then you would use two Events:
- Event 1: start at 9am, end at 5pm, select M T W Th F as the on-days.
- Event 2: start at 9am, end at 9pm, select S S as the on-days.
Machine Info - holds information Customer Care might need to troubleshoot issues, like serial number and software version. Keep scrolling and it also shows which Wi-Fi network the machine is currently set on. If you need to change this, go to the Menu category: WiFi Reset.
Reset Events - returns all Event settings back to the default settings after you confirm "Yes". Resetting Events on the machine does NOT override the settings in the app. Setting in the app will override settings on the machine.
Reset WiFi - removes the WiFi network connection. You can enter the new WiFi connection from the app; this is done when you add the machine in the app.

The Scent Machine Room is our latest addition and also able to be manually set up as well.
The steps are straightforward and simple:

When plugged in, it will run a 12-hour schedule starting from the time you put the machine into the outlet and will stay like this until you reset the machine or connect to the app. It will automatically run at 20% work for 15 seconds and pause for 60 seconds.
