Our Fragrance Oils are hypoallergenic not only for you, but also for your pets. The materials we use are within compliance of:
- IFRA (International Fragrance Association) - this association was founded in 1973 and utilizes scientific research to ensure fragrances worldwide are safe for use.
- Annexe II and III of the European cosmetic guidelines – a running list itemizing ingredients that can be unsafe or cause allergic reactions or irritation. We ensure none of these items are in our fragrances.
- California Proposition 65 – also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act. This has been put into place to help protect people from intaking harmful chemicals which can cause issues like cancer and birth defects.
- The Canadian Hotlist – this is another list comprised of potentially unsafe ingredients. We ensure we are always in compliance with this organization’s recommendations to keep our customers safe.
Additionally, our fragrances are made WITHOUT:
- Carcinogens – known to cause cancer.
- VOC (volatile organic compounds) – these can lead to irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat as well as cause dangerous effects to the liver, kidney, and nervous system.
- Phthalates – a potential endocrine disruptor that is often found in shampoos and other cosmetic items. Women generally have a higher rate of phthalates in their system than men for this reason.
Moreover, our Fragrance Oils are natural and in compliance with these organizations to ensure your wonderfully scented home stays hypoallergenic and safe for adults, children, and pets alike.
Environmentally Friendly With Enough Sustainability To Share
Did you know the packing peanuts we use for shipping are biodegradable? As well as being compostable, the packing materials are just one of the many ways we stay sustainable. Our bottles are made of a partly recyclable plastic and our boxes are recyclable as well. However, it is not only our packaging that is environmentally friendly, so is our manufacturing process. To ensure we are leaving as minimal a footprint on this planet as possible, we are compliant with the following associations:
EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) – this control of the amount of air pollutants from machinery and vehicles is integral in keeping with our eco-friendly standards. We ensure that our entire manufacturing process and the materials used are within compliance of the EPA.
CARB (California Air Resources Board) – clean air is important, and Aroma Retail is there to comply with a high standard of operation to ensure any equipment used in the manufacturing process, as well as the products themselves, are compliant with these strict regulations to keep the air from being polluted.
