The oil consumption meter has been removed from the latest version of the app and is no longer available. More testing is needed for accurate information. For the Travel Unit, the 2oz bottle can last up to a month if you run it for 3-6 hours a day at the medium setting (60 seconds work, 120 pause. For the Smart 101 machine, your 4oz bottle of oil will last between 3-4 weeks if you schedule it 7 days a week, up to 8 hours a day at 20%. For the Professional Unit, the oil can last 2-3 months of you run it on Level 3-4 for up to 8 hours a day.

You CAN clean your machine between scents, but the previous scent lingers for a few minutes before the new scent takes over. We do not recommend washing your machine with soap and water, we recommend rubbing alcohol. You can put a small amount of rubbing alcohol into the machines inside canister and run it like it’s fragrance oil for an hour or so, it’ll cleanse the draw tube and inside.

Yes, you can purchase new blue canisters for your Smart 101 Machine and empty 27oz amber bottles for your Professional Unit

Our Smart 101 machine is designed to diffuse every minute; there is no way for it to diffuse once or twice an hour. You have 5 separate events to schedule the machine to diffuse 5 different times a day.

The Air Switch Kit is optional and only needed if you want your Professional Unit to turn on and off with your HVAC system.

No, The Smart 101 is a standalone or wall-mounted diffuser and is not designed for HVAC installation.

Please contact our Care team anytime Monday-Saturday 9-5 PST. We'll help troubleshoot the issue before determining if a replacement is needed.

Check that the machine was not tipped over with oil inside, the canister is not overfilled, and the canister is installed correctly. We do recommend leaving some room in any machines canister when filling it with fragrance. Also check that the machine’s O-rings are not damaged, dry or warped, as this can cause leaks. If you need further assistance, please reach out to our Care Team.

The tubing should be no longer than 4 feet. Longer tubing can cause excess condensation inside the tube before the fragrance reaches the tip.

NOTE: splitting the diffusion will reduce your scenting efficiency. One diffuser to one air handler gives best results.

We do not provide split tubing for the Professional Unit, the customer is responsible for making their own. Keep in mind that the tubing should only be 4 feet.

Extra Professional Unit tubing is 3/8 inches that can be found at your local hardware store. You can reach out to the Aroma Retail care team for additional tubing also.

We process and pack orders within 24-48 hours, 6 days a week. Orders don’t get processed on Sundays but will get processed the following business day. All orders get processed at our HQ in Las Vegas, NV

Our Care Team handles any missing mail claims or damage claims. The team will need picture evidence/any possible information to successfully process a claim, so please collect those documents before reaching out. When our team is able to process a successful claim, we will work on getting a replacement order out to the customer.

We have free shipping for US orders only when you spend $100 on our website. We do not do free shipping for international orders. Any subscription orders in the US qualify for free shipping as well. We use ground shipping/the cheapest shipping option for free shipping. We do not expedite shipping.

Depending on location, international shipping can take up to a month to arrive, if not sooner!

No, customs fees are not added to your total shipping costs at checkout. Customs fees get handled through your tracking link for each carrier.

We do offer expedited shipping options, but the customer must reach out to our Care team prior to placing an order so we can explore our options. We do not list expedited options on the website.

Shipping delays are out of Aroma Retail’s control, but we will do our best to contact the shipping carrier on the customers’ behalf. The Aroma Retail team will need information from the customer if any missing mail claims need to be submitted.

Signature requirements are not automatic on all orders, those are per request only.

Yes, our CEO, Jim Reding, created these scents for the hotels. They are the authentic resort scents that most of the resorts in Las Vegas still use!

Yes, you can mix Aroma Retail’s fragrances to create your own “custom” scent. We encourage you to be creative.

Our 2, 4 and 27oz refills are formulated for cold air diffusers. Since they are formulated in a certain way, our customers can try making their own candles, but we can’t guarantee the outcome since the fragrance oil is mixed with a base to help it perform in our waterless machines.

It’s normal to get blind nose when using a scent for a few months, we offer fragrance samples to explore new scents to rotate through.

Yes, just don’t expose the oil to a direct flame.

Our sample blotters are large Q-Tips that we dip directly in the concentrated fragrance oil to simply preview the scent. You can let them dry after removing them from their mylar packet to get a better idea of how they smell diffused.

You should NOT dilute our fragrance oils with any type of liquid; it’ll ruin the product. Our fragrance products come ready to use.

Pure Grade means that it contains no synthetic toxins or volitile organic compounds (VOC's). VOC's that are normally found in raw essential oils include pollen and other naturally occuring irritants that can cause alergic reactions in other people and animals. We start with essential oils, then remove these VOC's with different methods depending on the ingredients. This can include distillation, natural solvent extraction, filtration, and enfleurage. It can get tricky and expensive to make pure fragrance oils because we often find that the character of the scent of each ingredient can change when VOC's are removed, and we have to add other ingredients to get us back to the desired notes. This is part of the reason why luxury pure grade fragrance oils have so many different ingredients in them. Every ingredient started from what is found in raw essential oils.

What makes a scent luxurious is the same thing that makes music have depth: harmony. When you play the right two notes at the same time on a piano you often hear a third note, meaning those two notes you're playing are in harmony. Experiment by playing A and E on the keyboard of a piano, and you will hear a third note that sounds a lot like C-sharp. The same thing happens in luxury fragrances, which include enough fragrance notes to give rise to uniquely rich harmonic scents. Lemon and Ginger give a harmony of Sandalwood, while Lemongrass and Aloe give a harmony of Coconut. It is these harmonies that fragrance experts play with to achieve luxury by putting together multiple harmonies like you find in a musical orchestra. The depth can be hard to describe but wonderful to experience.

No, the formulation for our linen sprays are different then our machine refill bottles. We use the same fragrance oil but a different mixing base for the performance.

No, again those products are formulated differently and won’t perform properly.

Our fragrance oils have a shelf life of about 2 years as long as they are stored out or direct sunlight and in a room temperature area.

Yes because we only sell Pure Grade Fragrance Oils. While our manufacturing process starts with all natural essential oils, Pure Grade Fragrance Oils are much further refined to remove volatile organic compounds (VOC's) that could cause allergic reactions in people and animals. This is an elaborate process, because sometimes removing so many VOC's changes the way the original ingredient smells, so we have to keep going back to the drawing board to make up the smell that we want. For example, Lavender as a raw essential oil can be very toxic for cats and dogs, and its smell is reduced to something that smells like Sandalwood when the VOC's are removed; therefore, we have to add back other refined florals to make up the Lavender bouquet of scent that is now free of toxins.

Android:
Connect to your diffuser using the Bluetooth option in the app. Before connecting, make sure you allow all app permissions when prompted (such as Bluetooth and Location). If these permissions are denied, the app won't be able to find your diffuser.

iPhone (iOS):
iPhones connect using Wi-Fi. Just follow the setup steps in the app and make sure you're connected to the correct Wi-Fi network

No, the Timed Run feature has been replaced with Schedules. You can now create one or multiple schedules to choose exactly when your diffuser turns on and off.

The app currently uses schedules to control when your diffuser runs.

We do not rent out machines, but when you purchase a machine you have 14 days from the day it arrives to see if it’ll work for you. After 14 days we can’t accept any returns on products.

Depending on the issue, Aroma Retail can issue return labels for machine repairs, but after a month the customer is responsible for shipping a machine in for inspection and repairs. The customer has a lifetime warranty with their machine for free inspection and repairs, we recommend notifying our care team about any issues as soon as possible.

Our subscription renewal program for the 2oz and 4oz bottles is renewed monthly, and the 27oz bottles renew bimonthly
